Light of Life (2026)

€3.200,00 EUR

When creating this canvas, I was inspired by the unstoppable forces of nature – tectonic shifts, geological faults, and the mysteries that the earth hides in its depths.

For me, this painting represents a journey through the layers of time; the rough, dark, and rocky applications, created with a combination of sand and fine pebbles, illustrate the weight of the material world, while the golden vein of delicate gold leaf, forcefully carving its way through the center, symbolizes the pure life energy that always finds its way to the surface.

This large abstract painting is designed to reject staticism – it is a canvas artwork that literally lives and breathes with the ambient light of the room. Due to the thoughtful interplay of rough, matte reliefs and high-gloss gold (gold leaf), this original art piece constantly changes throughout the day:

In the morning light, it is calm, with gray and beige tones creating a contemplative atmosphere.

Under the direct midday sun, the reliefs come alive with deep shadows, and the gold shines in its full, fluid power.

In the evening twilight, the rough textures disappear, while the golden particles catch the final rays, emitting a warm, mystical glow into the space.

The edges of the canvas are finished, so the painting does not require a frame. I want it to merge directly with the wall and become an organic, moving part of it.
